About Myron Covington
Myron “Cov” Covington II has been teaching at Washtenaw Community College for over
a decade! Myron followed in the footsteps of his grandmother, mother and father to
make education his career and passion! In August, 2021, Myron was elevated to a full-time
faculty member here at Washtenaw Community College. As an academic, Myron teaches
communication courses in hopes of imparting his real-life experiences from working
as a manager with The Kroger Company and teaching from other local colleges, K-12
school districts and correctional facilities.
Myron believes in ‘open inquiry’ in his classes and strives to connect course content
to everyday individuals and matters. Myron is also an advocate for student learning
and professional development. Myron teaches the following courses:

When Myron is not teaching or thinking about teaching, he enjoys his time in the Ann
Arbor/Detroit-Metro area with his wife Shira and their four compelling children Maxwell,
Harrison, Madison, and Savannah.
