Classes start soon for WCCs Fall Semester

Published on Jul 25, 2013 12:09pm by Bruce Maxwell,

WCC’s fall classes begin Friday, Aug. 23, well before Labor Day and earlier than classes at many other area colleges.

Applying for admission at WCC is easy and free. Check out the page about how to apply, and then fill out the online Application for Admission. Completing the form should take just 10 or 15 minutes.

WCC is an open-door institution. This means that if you want to learn, you’re welcome at WCC if you are any of the following:

  • At least 18
  • Under 18 but have a high school diploma or GED certificate
  • In high school

WCC classes fit busy schedules

WCC offers classes during the day, at night, on weekends, online, and in a blended format that combines online and classroom instruction. Classes are available at WCC’s main campus and at extension centers in Brighton, Dexter, Hartland, and Ypsilanti.

WCC also offers classes at a number of area high schools. This makes it easier than ever for high school students to participate in WCC’s dual enrollment program, which lets them take college classes while they’re still in school.

WCC’s in-district tuition rate for Fall Semester is $91 per credit hour, far below the rate at many area colleges and universities.

If you have questions about classes at WCC, you can call the Student Welcome Center at 734-973-3543 or send an email to studrec@wccnet.edu. The office is normally open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
