Welcome to LGBTQIA+ Resources! We provide education, information and support to students, faculty, and staff of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions on our campus.
We’re here to:
- Support WCC in being a safe and welcoming space for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors
- Educate about LGBTQIA+
- Provide information on campus, local, and national LGBTQIA+ events, news, and resources
- Work on issues and concerns that impact LGBTQIA+ people at WCC and assist with specific situations, such as cases of bullying or harassment
- Encourage interaction with the wider LGBTQIA+ community in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti and beyond
What do all those initials mean?
LGBTQIA+ = Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, Ally + Other Identities
Terminology: There are a lot of terms used to describe sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression! Gender 101 will help you get familiar with these and other terms.
