About Us
The Workforce Certification Center at Washtenaw Community College offers state-of-the-art testing facilities for hundreds of different industry-based certifications as well as testing for licensing for the State of Michigan. Located in the Morris Lawrence building on the main campus of WCC, the Workforce Certification Center provides easy access to nationally recognized industry credential organizations in a convenient, safe facility with ample free parking. No degree? No problem! Prove your skills with a new certification and turn the knowledge you already have into career growth today. Many of our most popular certifications are very affordable and can be earned quickly.
If your working on a degree or certificate here at WCC you might already be prepped for one or more certifications. Many of our credit courses cover the material you need to pass industry certification exams. Graduating with a couple of certifications already under your belt can set you apart from the pack when applying for jobs in your chosen field, even before you finish your program.
This Center proctors exams that directly impact a candidate's employment, promotion, wage increase, or career change potential. The Workforce Certification Center adheres to the proctoring guidelines of NCTA and our Test Companies.

Pearson vue exams registration is often done with the certifying body (ie. MTTC, etc.). Please browse these websites to register and pay for the exam and select Washtenaw Community College as your exam site.
Contact the Center directly to schedule an appointment for WorkKeys and to confirm your appointment for Certiport. For Certiport exams, there is a proctor fee of $30 per exam. Payable to Washtenaw Community College. At this time we are only able to acept payment for proctor fees and workkeys exams in the form of a cashier’s check or a money order.

Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm. Tuesdays are reserved for special accomodations. If you or your company need availabilty outside of these times Please contact us at 734-249-5920 to discuss your needs. We are generally only able to offer extended availability to groups of 25 or more candidates and there may be additional fees assessed for this service.
We can be difficult to find if you are not familiar with our campus. The map below should help you locate us. We are the building in the red circle and the best parking is highlighted in green on the campus map. Morris Lawrence Building, Room 126A is where you will check in for your exam, shown below in the red circle on the building map, the main entrance is marked with a green arrow.

Pearson Vue, the largest of our vendors covers just about everything you could imagine. Some of the most popular are IT, with testing for Amazon Web Services (AWS), CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, Citrix, and more. Dental and medical councils, Pharmacy Technicians (PTCB), food service management such as ServSafe and the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (NRFSP) all have their exams with Pearson. They have certs for Real estate, Midwifes, Personal trainers, and so many more.
Workkeys, brought to you by ACT is a general aptitude battery that includes math, reading, observational skills, and more. This is often required to join union apprenticeships and other trades organizations. Please contact your prospective trades union for their requirements.
Google and Salesforce have offerings though Kryterion. If you are pursuing becoming a cloud services engineer this is who to look into.
(formerly Scantron) Meazure Learning covers some health care focused exams like WOCNCB, other nursing certifications, as well as personal trainer certifications like BOC athletic trainers and ACE fitness instructors. They have offerings for tax and accounting professionals and more as well.
(Formerly PAN) Most Federal government positions require some form of testing as part of application, and most of it is done through Measure. FBI, CBP, TSA, and ATF all test through this vendor.
Metro covers testing to obtain pesticide applicator licensing for the state of Michigan. If you are a landscaping or lawn care company get yourself or someone on your crew this license to expand your scope.
There are also many other smaller exam vendors that we work with who have more limited offerings. Usually for a specific industry or role. If you need to take an exam from any of these vendors please don’t hesitate to reach out, to find out our availability for these exams.
