If you recently graduated from WCC or expect to graduate in the next few months, you can celebrate your achievement at WCC’s Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 18.

It starts at 9:20am at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center at 799 N. Hewitt Rd., which is next to the EMU football stadium in Ypsilanti. Graduates need to arrive at the Convocation Center by 8:15am. A reception with cookies and punch will follow the ceremony, which is expected to last about two hours.

The ceremony will honor December 2012 graduates and May, June, and August 2013 graduate candidates. They can invite as many guests as they like.

To participate in the ceremony, graduates and graduate candidates should submit an Application for Graduation by May 6.

Graduating students must wear a cap, gown, and tassel, which can be purchased in the WCC Bookstore for $40.98 plus tax. They also can pick up 10 announcements for friends and family at the Student Welcome Center on the second floor of the Student Center building.

A rehearsal for the ceremony will be held Friday, May 17, at 6 p.m. at the EMU Convocation Center. A catered dinner for graduates only will be available afterward at WCC’s Morris Lawrence building.

Students who have questions or need accommodations can contact Mary Singer at 734-973-3546 or Nancy Farmer at 734-973-3658.
