WCC opens HBCU Pathway, a new pipeline to student success

WCC has established the first comprehensive transfer agreement between a Michigan community college and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). Benefits include guaranteed admission, access to in-state tuition and student support.

He was a driving force behind its formation, served on its Board of Trustees for more than a quarter century, helped establish the WCC Foundation, and was a constant supporter and valued contributor to the WCC mission,” said WCC President Dr. Rose B. Bellanca.

WCC earns veteran-friendly school 'Gold Status' from Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency

WCC is one of 37 colleges and universities throughout the state recognized with the top-level Gold certification, meaning the school has met at least six of seven criteria. In all, 63 institutions earned either Gold, Silver or Bronze status from the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency.
