Emeritus Scholarships are for Washtenaw County Residents 65 & older

Qualifications
- Resident of Washtenaw County
- Age 65 or older on the first day of the semester
- Verification required by providing your driver’s license or state-issued photo ID
- New students visit the Student Welcome Center office to complete this requirement
- Existing students check MyWCC to confirm your date of birth is correct
Eligibility
- Tuition only for non-credit classes; scholarship does not apply to mandatory fees
- Tuition, contact-hour fees and the technology/enrollment fees are included for credit courses
- PEA 115 and any other fees are not covered by scholarship
Register
- Non-credit: Register any time that non-credit registration is open for scholarship to apply
- Credit: Register on or after the announced registration date for the semester for scholarship
to apply
- Winter 2025 Emeritus Registration Date is December 9.
- Course selection may be limited and based on availability
- You can register for classes as soon as registration begins but scholarship funding is not guaranteed, and you must pay for the class before the normal payment deadline
- If you register early and pay for a class, you may receive a refund if the class has not been filled by the announced registration date
- If the class fills by the announced registration date WCC will not award the scholarship
to that class, even if a seat opens later
- You will receive an email after 4 p.m. on the announced date notifying you of whether the scholarship will apply to your class
- If you choose to stay in the class, you will not receive a refund
- If you drop the class before the deadline, you will receive a refund approximately one month after the semester begins
- If you would like to register for another class that has not been filled, contact the Cashiers Office by phone at 734-973-7703 by 4 p.m. on the same day you registered to ask that the scholarship be applied to the new class and avoid being dropped for non-payment
